I became hooked on web design after I made my first animated gif. I learned as much as I could with basic web theory until Flash came along and I started building interactive sites for photographers and companies that I was friends with. Around the same time, I began to work directly with programmers to build heavy backend systems based on my designs. Lately, resources for web designers seem more limited, as the dependancy on programming is growing. As a designer, I'm now at a crossroads to learn more programming, or be left in the dust.

I'll keep doing small sites for people and businesses I respect, but not sure where i'll go next with web design. I'm hoping to keep up for a while and make some sites in the future without having to speak another language.
